She opens the day. Before the sun clears the treetops she is already at her place, and nothing in the village moves until she does.
Kala is the east — the color of warm earth at first light. Her figure is built in terracotta and sunrise gold, standing on cracked morning ground with the mist still low. The base is not a stand. It is the hour she belongs to.
Every morning is a negotiation. Who eats, who trades, who carries the season on their back — it is settled before most of the village is awake, and it is settled in her hands.
The Market Queen does not sell fruit. She holds the pulse of daily life. Her basket is never empty; her staff taps the ground twice before any deal is struck. The third tap means the spirits have agreed, and no one argues with the third tap.
She walks the Kala — the dawn path — because beginnings are her territory. Where the Skull Warrior guards the crossing out, she guards the crossing in: the daily return of the living world to itself.
“A people are not kept alive by their warriors alone. They are kept alive by whoever opens the market.”
KongoVerse is a collectible universe drawn from the cosmology of the Kongo — each Guardian a story, a place, and a moment on the cosmogram. The Skull Warrior opens the series. Five more will follow.
The Market Queen follows the first release. Waitlist members see her render, her pricing, and her drop date before anyone else.
