She is the one you call when someone is leaving. Not leaving the village — leaving the world.
Luvemba is the west: burnt copper, amber, and the light going long. Her figure stands in river mist on transitional earth, flame staff lit, the okapi at her side — the forest's own quiet animal, keeping her company at the hour of the turn.
The bell necklace rings once for every soul she has guided to the other side of the Kalunga. It is heavy. She wears it anyway, and she does not count out loud.
She does not mourn — she prepares. Her face markings are written in the language of the ancestors, older than any script that came after. At sunset, when the cosmogram turns toward Musoni, she is the last voice the living hear.
The okapi walks with her: found only in the Congo forest, unhurried, seen by almost no one. It does not guard her. It simply refuses to leave — which at that hour is the same thing.
“Someone has to walk you to the door. She has never once let anyone go alone.”
KongoVerse is a collectible universe drawn from the cosmology of the Kongo — each Guardian a story, a place, and a moment on the cosmogram. The Skull Warrior opens the series. Five more will follow.
The Ceremonial Mother is in development for Series 01. The waitlist sees her first — render, pricing, and drop date.
